Sometimes dreams are not all seriousness, sometimes you just want to have fun or show off your hobbies. For all the gamers out there I have this design. A wire cage hangs from the center of a black webbing and ring. The cage is small so it will hold a D20 die but only one from a mini set. The recipient will have to provide their own die to fill the cage but that does mean that the centerpiece can be changed out as they feel like it. I have more cages so I'd be very happy to do a custom order in your chosen color(s).

Edit: I'm really not sure how this posted to this community, Semagic even verified that it should have gone to before I posted. If the mods like I'll take the post down. My apologies.

I have a peeled and chopped persimmon that has been in a tupperware container in the fridge since Tuesday. There is no mold, and it smells like... nothing. It looks a little dryer than it did Tuesday, but that's about it. Normally I'd eat it, I guess, but I don't have any experience with persimmon, and my experience with other fruits tells me that 5 days is a long time for fruit to sit in the fridge.

bleh
hasnt been the most active last set of days here...

we did go out a bit yesterday, just me and my mom actually. mainly to get my car serviced.
easy enough, drove up, tossed the person my card and keys, and off we went to mosey down the street. my grandfather had gotten sick the night before, so couldnt go stay with him.
so we walked down he road some just seeing whats around. not much unfortunatly.. just a drug store to browse.
stayed in the waiting room for the remainder (yay having my book) and then went about checking on the car.
turns out it was done and they went about what was done and all... and, wait, you rotated the tires? how?
forgot to tell them that such didnt need to be done as they were just rotated >.-.< .. though i was also very relieved that the head mechanic stated that they use a torque wrench when they got locks. how true that was, not sure, but i didnt see any damage to the wheels.

so off to a bestbuy since i had a few things in mind. seems they are really the only place carrying the wide range of electronics anymore. so, i went in looking for possibly a new keyboard and mouse for my computer and a new mouse for my parents computer. even descided that grabbing the ps3 keyboard may be useful. oh.. and a new printer since ours is about dead.
so... i find nothing that would suit me for the computer. and didnt see the ps3 accessories. but my mother bought herself a ps3 game and a computer mouse. and we finally picked out a printer. practically all except one were the all in one systems with wireless connectivity. so. had to look at the finer details. and after a good many minutes looking them over and testing them out (the ones that hadnt been beaten to death by shoppers), descided on an hp photosmart premium. prints on photo paper of many sizes. has photo ink and regular ink. each color is a seperate tank cartridge. replacements cost about $9 instead of about $40 for a single on our old one. prints double sided automatically. fast. and just simply worked better than the others. $200 for the thing.
on the way out, i stopped by and asked someone about the ps3 keyboard. turns out it was hiding in a new area.

so.. ate lunch at a chinese buffet place. and headed home to play with our new stuffs.
got the mouse done. got the keyboard on the ps3. much easier when doing certain things, though ive yet to find an equivalent for the L buttons. they are used for navigation in the web browser.
got the printer set up in place of our scanner. works quite well so far.
and we played some lego indiana jones! ^.-.^ . me being the backseat player of course as we dont have two controllers yet.
and later, i set up our new printer on the ps3 for the heck of it. we are all wired now! O.-.O

but yeah. night came and the suck started.

for starters, this break has been a waste in terms of my own meditations and progresses. lay down, begin a thought, and wake up the next morning. thought it would help that i can now rest easy at night without fearing my phone. meh.
though, one night was interesting enough. seeing both my adoptive parents flopped over each other deep asleep. brought a chuckle ^.-.^ ..

but yeah,,, spent the early morning laying on the floor balled up in excruciating pain. why? apparently my stomach was creating some sort of gas, which normally would be burped up.. except i couldnt burp! couldnt make myself burp either. finally was able to squeeze some out of my stomach by brute force, enough to relieve the pain and have me fall asleep for the next two hours. of which it began all over again.
finally i was able to stand and walk out and try and find some gas medicine. my mother happened to by wakened by my shufflings and got the pills for me... yay practically instant relief! mostly... a dull ache exists even now. not sure if thats more stomach gas or soreness from abusing myself trying to get the stuff out.
we sat there and watched a show about spontanious human combustion. odd show that.

This is my new Cavalier King Charles puppy, Milo (born 8/29/09). When he's in a really deep sleep you can do almost anything to him and he wont wake up. Its adorable :)

Hoping this is splodworthy...

I really hope I did this right.

The simplest solution I could come up with was creating a syndicated account which can be watched from LJ:
http://syndicated.livejournal.com/animalshapes_rs/
At the moment there are technical issues with LJ syndication so it appears empty, but that is the account, so please add it to your friends list if you'd like to follow it from LJ. Thank you!

Sometimes I really wonder if a lot of my commissions I am beyond the point of no winning with. I'm really deeply concerned with this because, this is especially with Belle's commission, I just feel like I have already lost and this notion is what causes me the most mental trip ups that further continues to delay the artwork.

A lot of other artists advise me to 'just sit and do the work' but I've found that 'trick' near impossible. These are also often artists whose quality of work tend to vary I have noticed but at the same time one can't expect to give their best 100% of the time either. Some commissions have gotten to a point that even my best work feels like it's just not going to be good enough and people will just roll their hands when handed it to give me that 'Finally, geez.' look.

I don't like the feeling that there's no winning. That's a pretty awful feeling and frankly it's one I have spent far too much time feeling over just about every aspect of my life.

The worst feeling is the feeling there is no winning when I know perfectly well I could have won. That's the one eating me alive most of this year.

Some people ask 'Why did you auction off 120 pieces???' and I tell them 'Because it was suppose to be only 10 pieces a month and since I normally do about 50-60 commissions a month that wasn't impossible at all. People forget the idea was not to pull in huge chunks of money for one bit of small time. The idea was to pre-sale 10 slots a month for the year.

It was not a bad idea.
Where it failed was that I had no idea that this would be the single worst year of my life. I have thought back through the whole thing multiple times over and over and over eating spoon fulls of guilt asking myself 'could I have seen this coming? Did I miss something?'

All I can think is 'No, this year was set up to be pretty damn good. The larger portion of it was honestly not your fault.'

And I'd love to believe that but I just can't. I feel responsible. I feel that because my failures were a direct result of choices I made there is no arguing that I am a failure.

Failure's don't get happy endings.

With December setting in and my realization that Belle has still not seen any work from me that she asked for (that's the most important part) I'm terrified of what's going to happen. I feel that I will be crushed and, damn it, I can't possibly argue that I don't deserve it considering even if I did what seems impossible and delivered to her a the full 10 pieces that remain NOT over due how can she not what to just hang me.

Disappointing my fandom feels far worse than anyone else I have let done - parents, friend, siblings... all I can think day in and day out now is...

"What have I done? Will any of them ever forgive me?" =*(

So, I love cow horns and ram's horns but they don't seem to be mentioned very often here compared to antlers. In fact, I don't remember seeing any ram's horns for ages (or at all)? Is that because they're not rare and therefore seem less desirable or because they're too much like hard work ;-) or for some other reason? Tell me about your horn-working projects past, present, and planned for the future? "Hunting" horns, drinking horns, handles for walking sticks, spoons, shoe horns, or, less traditional but potentially awesome, horned masks? Share any hints and tips for horn working from your experience?

As an encouragement I offer a photo of my "hunting" horn made of cow horn. I confess it has a metal reed... so a mild puff of air produces a LOUD BLAST of sound, heh.

"When morning stands on tiptoe 'twixt mountain and sky
how sweet it is to follow the echoing cry!
When bright shining dew drops the meadow adorn
how sweet it is to follow the echoing horn! )

I've been looking for work for six months and have had no luck, plus my income from the government has been cut because of stupid mistakes they made.

I have $110 worth of bills to pay by Monday and $2 to my name because of this. My mother is going to be jobless by the start of next year too, and it looks like I still will be. So we've ran ourselves into our own little economic crisis.

Here are some cheap commissions I'm offering. They link to DeviantART but you do not need an account to view them. Even a small amount of money helps. Thank you for your time. ♥

Livejournal Icons:
$5

300x300 pixel and 100x100 pixel sizes will be e-mailed to you.

Chibis:

You'll receive a high resolution un-watermarked version of the image.

The oh-so-kind random person went back to the thrift store today.

And bought the nativity set for $4.

Yep.

Am a happy sqeeing dragoness now. :P

Am I weird because I insist on paying more to the person than she paid for it? In my mind, she went out of her way to help a complete stranger. This is deserving of more than what she's asking (cost plus shipping). So, I'll pay more than that.

I made a post concerning Jace aka Brian Harp, I made a mistake which I want to clarify, I made a rash decision and accused him on not finishing art, he might have done it in the past but come to think of it 8-9 months is not that much of a long time, I'm sure several other artists have been in the same situation

I had communication issues with Jace, I believe he can change and was promised art completion by December, if he can deliver by that date, I think he's worthy of another opportunity. I don't wish to stir up things any longer and I hope those with a grudge can forgive him like I did, from all this I learned that with communication anything can be worked out
